Loopdrop (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is an iOS app that helps you manage screen time by setting limits on apps and categories you choose, using Apple’s Screen Time–related APIs. It may show usage insights, goals, and blocking or focus-related features on your device.
This Privacy Policy describes how Loopdrop handles information when you use the app. Loopdrop is designed to process your information on your device. Unless we state otherwise below, we do not operate a Loopdrop account system or Loopdrop-controlled servers that receive your personal data from the app as it is built today.
The organization responsible for Loopdrop is:
Loopdrop may process the following categories of information on your device:
When you choose apps or categories to limit or monitor, Apple’s Family Controls and related APIs handle those selections according to Apple’s rules. Such selections are represented with system-managed tokens on the device; Loopdrop uses them to apply schedules, shields, and monitoring as you configure.
Usage-related information that Apple exposes through Device Activity and related APIs may be processed locally to power statistics and insights shown in the app (for example, totals, trends, or top apps over a period you view in the app).
Information you enter or choose in the app—such as goal names, group or limit settings, focus session details, onboarding preferences, and aggregated counts or events related to blocking or snoozing—may be stored locally using SwiftData, UserDefaults, and shared storage (App Group) so the main app and its extensions can work together on the same device.
The app may check whether you have granted permissions such as Screen Time (Family Controls) authorization or notification permission. That state is used to operate the app on your device; we do not describe transmitting that state to Loopdrop-operated servers in the current app build.
Based on how Loopdrop is implemented today:
If these practices change in a future version, we will update this Privacy Policy before or when those features ship.
Loopdrop may use local notifications to remind you of limits, warnings, or related events you configure. These are scheduled on your device. This policy does not describe remote push notifications from Loopdrop servers unless such a feature is added later.
Loopdrop data stored by the app on your device is generally removed when you delete the app from your device, subject to how iOS handles app data and any backups you keep. You can also adjust settings inside the app where the UI allows.
Loopdrop is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for Loopdrop-operated online services in the manner described in this policy. If you believe a child has provided information to us in a way that concerns you, contact us at [email protected] and we will take reasonable steps to address it.
Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights such as access, correction, or deletion of personal data, or the right to object to certain processing. Because Loopdrop processes most information only on your device and does not operate the account or cloud data flows described above in the current version, many requests can be addressed by you directly (for example, by changing settings in the app or deleting the app). For questions or requests that relate to us as the app provider, contact [email protected].
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the data controller identified above is responsible for your personal data in connection with the app, to the extent we process any such data under applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date (and, where required, provide additional notice). Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy, except where applicable law requires your explicit consent.
